Weddings are like computers (sort of)
November 30, 2010
I just bought a new computer, and it occurs to me that the process was a lot like what you go through in choosing a wedding photographer.
First, there was a lot of research, a lot of talking to friends. A bunch of money was involved, so I didn’t want to make a mistake. Then I shopped around, looking for the right deal. “Bargains” usually aren’t bargains at all, but there was no need to spend $7,000 on a computer (or on wedding pictures).
In deciding how much to invest, I asked myself, “How important is this?” The answer: Very important. We’re talking about your wedding.
It didn’t take long to become comfortable with my choices: quad-core processor, boatloads of RAM, blah blah. Everything just felt right.
I appreciate what you’re going through, and I’m happy to help by answering your questions and showing you what I offer.
